10 more reasons why I need somebody new, just like you.

Yesterday I was able to go see a band that I haven't seen in 5 years, The Red Hot Chili Peppers.  It was a very enjoyable concert especially since Anthony didn't look to pouty, like the last time I saw them.  It is very different to see them without John, but the replacement guitarist did pretty well.  You could see that he was enjoying being stage and playing a lot of the classics as well as the some of the new ones.  One thing that did surprised me was when they played "Soul to Squeeze."  A lot of people who know me very well know that is my favorite song by them.  Since growing up that song has always had a special place in my heart and if you've been to any past chili pepper concerts you know how rare that song is actually played.  It did bring a lot of joy in my heart.

Flea was probably the most funniest and energetic one on stage.  While watching them on stage I immediately felt overcome with feeling of wanting to be on a stage like that.  Just playing music that I enjoy and just playing my heart out.  It's a dream that only comes true to a few and after awhile I learned to accept that dream may never come true, but that's okay.  There are so many other things in life to look forward to.  At least I haven't given up on playing my guitar.  Despite the dream to play on stage, the fact I can play a guitar and play it well makes me the happiest about myself.  It's truly a wonderful feeling to be able to play the music I enjoy and to play the music that I create for my very close friends and loved ones.

I honestly wish I could've gone to the concert with my girlfriend (sorry ladies).  I'm going to call her Lightning. :) She is studying abroad right now so as you can see it would have made it very impossible for her to come.  I at least got to go to the concert with her mother, which was very fun by the way.  I know this is an easy way to score brownie points, but seriously the fact that she could dance around and enjoy her time while listening to the chili peppers made the concert that much more fun.  I don't think any of my friends could have topped her and her energy.  I would definitely go to another concert with her.

I'll cut it here right now, but just to let you, the readers know my next blog is going to be my thoughts on the new StoneSour's album.  So far so good I must say.  I really like to analyze lyrics and try to find out what they mean.  The lyrics with meaning by the way.  Imagine me trying to analyze the lyrics of Flo Rida's "whistle" haha.  "As you can see he is asking the lady to su...errrrr" gonna stop right there.

(If there are any writing errors I'm sorry, I'm really tired and just didn't want to check.)

  1. I'm glad that you were able to enjoy the concert with my mother. She and her mom are actually really fun people to go to things like that with. When Oh, Great One and I went to see the Eagles a while back, she brought energy, and when she went to the All American Rejects concert (w/ Anberlin and Taking Back Sunday), she brought so much energy. That, plus her normal self, almost got her kicked out of the concert. I'm so happy I stopped her in time. It really did look like that lady was about to punch her. And all because my grandmother thought the adults were packing in too close to a small child.

I can't wait to come home and go to another concert with you. Those are a lot of fun. It just sucks that we can't see Underoath. :: sigh :: At least we will get other chances to see awesome bands. And, hopefully when those bands decide to break up, they won't have a farewell tour lasting a little over a week.

  2. Yeah, I agree. Underoath had a reason why it was lasting a week, but I don't think it was good enough reason. At least when Thrice did their they made sure to book a lot of venues to make sure people can see them.

I can't wait to go to another concert with you. Do you know how hard it is to find someone to go see the Chevelle concert with?
