So, I have decided that I might start doing some reviews on the internet. I know, I know there are too many people on youtube or something like that doing that already. Well, you're right and there's nothing I can say that would make my reviews and opinions seem different. All I can say is I am going to try to do it as interesting and as best as I can. I am not doing this alone by all means. I am having help from my beautiful girlfriend. Eventually, when we start coming up with a good foundation for things and have everything organized we will post some links out there and hope we get some people to watch.
The goal is to talk about music that that not many people seem to talk about anymore. The rock, the metal, the awesome music that's just out there. I know the majority out there is into pop and who knows maybe we will do something that involves that when we decide to get very historical on some things or just feel like talking some good ol' crap on it.
We will do other things as well, but I will not get into that until she comes back from Russia.
Anyway, so for some news you care about. I have a week and a half of school left. I couldn't be less motivated to finish. I'm tired and just want to be lazy. Probably not a good thing actually it's definitely not a good thing. Maybe it's because it's so close to the end that I'm just tired of school right now, but I can't slack off. I need to work hard and do the best I can.
This semester was a very interesting one for me. I was never really the studying type that just went through drills and routines to make sure I made A's on everything. It was a very difficult transition for me once I decided I wanted to become a doctor. I had to figure out what my priorities were and stick to them. It was very hard because I am use to having so much free time. That's starting to change more. Especially since I have to focus on my harder classes for my degree. I suffered in the beginning of the semester for it, but I'm starting to do better.
Trial and error.
This semester I have a feeling I will pass both my classes. Maybe not with the A's I intended for, but at least I know what I have to do for next semester. I will work a lot harder and study more. My girlfriend will be back as well and will help me. It sounds simple, but I know I'm going to have to face my own worst habits when that comes. I sometimes wish I had the dedication right from the start. It's hard to create one.
Anyway, Christmas break is at hand and I have to try to enjoy it the best that I can.
By the way, Deftones new album is pretty much awesome. Go listen to it! It's called Koi No Yokan.
So.......
What are you waiting for?
GO LISTEN TO IT!!!
If you do, I give you my word I will put a written review on here next weekend.
I'm serious!
Go!
Kisses.
and hugs....

I don't mind my own self loathing and I don't need hell from you.
Lately, I've been feeling angry about everything. I couldn't understand why this was happening.
As I was walking around campus today, after leaving the language lab, I decided to put my music away and really think about why I've been either upset, angry, or just numb. My conclusion was the people in my life affect me. I don't mean everyone in my life, but the people I've allowed myself to get close to or the people I've looked up to. I keep feeling like I'm always getting hurt by them. When I try to talk to them about it two things happen.
1. I get very frustrated and raise my voice and just go into the whole "You don't know how I feel" speech which makes me sound like a very emotional teen.
or
2. The other person gets frustrated and constantly defends themselves or just ignores me..
This isn't directed towards anyone specific. It just goes to show that a lot of people are very similar in trait. I'd like to think that we are all unique, but sometimes it's hard when I keep getting the same reactions from people.
Today was the angry day. Literally, I just felt angry at everything. I feel I have no one to talk to. I have my Faith and sometimes I lack the routine. Routine isn't all that bad when you think about it. Typically, good habits form from routines.....sometimes.
I hate putting things off. I like to confront problems and talk, people don't seem to like that. It's like they think that when there's a problem it'll magically go away if you don't talk about it and just let it linger. The term "there's an elephant in the room" makes so much more sense now. I'm a little "term impaired" lol.
Stone Sours new album "House of Gold and Bones, Pt. 1" is a very good album. I would give it 4/5 based off of certain songs. Some songs took a little getting use to, but after few listens they became very good. I think there are two songs I'm just okay with, but everything else shines pretty well. What I like about it also is that it has songs you can sing to. Lyrics are heart felt and intelligent which is good. Especially with what's out today. I figured I would rate every song and give a little of my opinion about each one just to give you a brief idea. I do recommend you go out and listen to the album yourselves. It's very good.
Gone Sovereign: 5/5 - This was a very good song and a great opener for the album. I love it when he just yells "This is mine!" So awesome lol. Favorite part to sing to is "So scatter all my ashes when I'm dead and shatter every legend in my head." The guitars are pretty well done. Some parts are simple, but the solo does shine pretty well and the drums do a very good job at keeping the rhythm. Bass in this song is pretty much what you can expect from bass. Just playing with the guitar. The ending chant of the song does get a little annoying, but it's supposed to lead in Absolute Zero.
Absolute Zero: 5/5 - Very good single to release for an album. The chorus is very catchy and fun to sing to. Guitars do a very solid job in this song. There is a certain part in the solo that just reminds me of Slipknots "Psychosocial." Right at 2:24 to 2:27 of "Absolute Zero," compare that to "Psychosocial" 2:24 to 2:30. The drums do a pretty well job at keeping the rhythm as usual and bass, same thing. This song is really meant for the guitars and vocals. Very well done.
A Rumor of Skin: 4/5 - Man the pre-chorus and chorus are just so damn catchy. (The chorus is the title of the blog, lol.) I just love singing a long to it. The verses are just okay, It's one of the reasons why it got a 4 out of 5 on my list. It's still a very good song. Solo shines pretty well and the drums keep nice low beat to kind of bring an atmospheric touch. Bass still just keeping the beat. The ending chorus is another awesome part too. Especially with Corey harmonizing with himself. Great, great touch.
The Travelers, Pt. 1: 3/5 - I don't dislike this song, but it's not my favorite. I feel like it's a good transition to the next song "Tired." Guitars are not too bad, good chord patterns. The pick up in the song right where he says his "I don't need" lines, is good.
Tired: 5/5 - I love this song, definitely one of my favorites off this album. Just a great opening verse "I'm alive in here, so alive in here." When you you hear how this song starts off and the verse you can see why I think "A Rumor of Skin" is pretty much the build up to this song. Overall the vocals are very well done and very fun to sing to. Gives you a good pump of endorphins, if you get that from music. I know I do. :) Guitars are good especially in the beginning. The solo is pretty good. Drums do a very good job in this song especially closer to the end. The bass isn't too bad at all either. Probably one of the tracks he does a lot better in.
Ru486: 5/5 - Funny thing, I had to listen to this song a few times, because at first I disliked this song. This song is pretty awesome and if they come here for a concert I would love to hear this. It just seems like it carries a lot of energy. Chorus is definitely for the crowd. I even find myself yelling this in the car while I'm driving. Guitars are just awesomely heavy and the solo is just and awesome jam fest. The drums are pretty good too. I do wish to hear double bass from time to time. Bass, of course can't do much because every other instrument is pretty much knocking it out of the way lol.
My Name Is Allen: 4/5 - This song is pretty good. I really enjoy the verse, it's just executed so well. Pre-chorus is good and man I enjoy Corey Taylor when he screams. Chorus is where it lacks for me. It's just feels like it's missing something. The drums to me are pretty basic, just follows the pattern of the guitar and such. They do sound pretty good right after the solo though. Bass doesn't do much. The guitars are pretty good. The solo is where it does very well for itself.
Taciturn: 4/5 - Out of the two calmer songs, Taciturn is definitely the better one. I like the acoustic in this song. It plays very well to the tune of Corey's voice, or maybe it's the other way around. Corey sings very well in this song, especially for a guy whose voice sounds a little hoarse. It fits though and I honestly can't see anyone singing it better than him. Halfway through the song the entire band kicks in to bring the powerful balad punch it needs. The guitar does well for itself in the solo. The drums follow a basic pattern and just plays to the mood of the song. Bass does the same as well, but you may hear him do something special here and there.
Influence of a Drowsy God: 4/5 - This song transitions well after the last song "Taciturn." The drums do a pretty good job here especially in the chorus. The guitars are pretty basic here. Just keeping a simple rhythm. The solo is where the guitar definitely comes out. The bass is pretty good here. Simple notes but at least it's not exactly with the guitar. Vocals is where this song truly shines. Especially right at 3:09 to 3:25 easily the best part of the song when it comes to vocals. I feel this song was mainly for the Corey's voice and it did well at that.
The Travelers, Pt. 2: 5/5 - I just really like everything in this song. Guitars, bass, drums, and vocals, it all came together well and it definitely beats "The Travelers, Pt. 1" by a A LOT. The chorus is great and the song is great.
Last of the Real: 5/5 - This song starts off with just a strong bass and kicks in with the guitars and when the vocals come in you just get pumped. Drums are awesome as well especially right around the pre-chorus. Chorus is awesome! This is just a great finisher to part 1 of the album. Overall you can't pick one part that makes the song shine everyone just does so well.
I hope you enjoyed reading my review of Stone Sours new album. I'm sorry it took so long and I guarantee you that next time that won't happen. I apologize for my earlier message before the review. I just really had to vent and like I said I really don't feel like there is anyone to talk to, so I just blogged about it.

New Blog!!! ::cue heroic japanese music::
Today has been a very uneasy day. Lightning and I had a misunderstanding earlier today and even though it seems everything is fine I'm still bothered with it. I really don't know how to approach this problem. My gut is telling me I should just talk to her about it when she gets on skype tonight/today. I have mentioned that she is studying abroad, right? Well, my girlfriend is studying abroad in Russia and as you may have assumed it's very difficult. I'm missing her more and more everyday.
It's interesting, not the fact that I'm missing her, but with how many people I know tell me that they could not do what I'm doing. A long distance relationship is a very difficult thing, but for her I'm willing to make that sacrifice.
She is worth it.
Another interesting thing is I didn't expect to just type about Lightning. I probably should change the subject, it's starting to make me miss her more.
So far I've been finishing up with Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. It's been a long time coming, but I'm almost done with only 8 more episodes to go! It's a pretty good anime, but they seem to always have this one recurring theme. Every time something bad is going to happen to one of the main characters, someone comes in to save the day!!! ::cue heroic Japanese music or whatever:: It's starting to get a little cheesy, lol.
The new big bang theory episode was pretty good as well. I'm not going to lie, but Howard and Bernadette looked very cute dressed as smurfs haha!
I've never been so motivated to play guitar lately. I'm hoping to get my room a little more organized so I can bring my amp in and just start jamming.
By the way, I figured every time I write a blog, I'm going to end with a "song of the day." Just a song that I'm personally enjoying and recommending that you check it out .

Oh, and my opinion of Stone Sours new album blog will be here soon. Just trying to come up with ideas.

10 more reasons why I need somebody new, just like you.
Yesterday I was able to go see a band that I haven't seen in 5 years, The Red Hot Chili Peppers. It was a very enjoyable concert especially since Anthony didn't look to pouty, like the last time I saw them. It is very different to see them without John, but the replacement guitarist did pretty well. You could see that he was enjoying being stage and playing a lot of the classics as well as the some of the new ones. One thing that did surprised me was when they played "Soul to Squeeze." A lot of people who know me very well know that is my favorite song by them. Since growing up that song has always had a special place in my heart and if you've been to any past chili pepper concerts you know how rare that song is actually played. It did bring a lot of joy in my heart.
Flea was probably the most funniest and energetic one on stage. While watching them on stage I immediately felt overcome with feeling of wanting to be on a stage like that. Just playing music that I enjoy and just playing my heart out. It's a dream that only comes true to a few and after awhile I learned to accept that dream may never come true, but that's okay. There are so many other things in life to look forward to. At least I haven't given up on playing my guitar. Despite the dream to play on stage, the fact I can play a guitar and play it well makes me the happiest about myself. It's truly a wonderful feeling to be able to play the music I enjoy and to play the music that I create for my very close friends and loved ones.
I honestly wish I could've gone to the concert with my girlfriend (sorry ladies). I'm going to call her Lightning. :) She is studying abroad right now so as you can see it would have made it very impossible for her to come. I at least got to go to the concert with her mother, which was very fun by the way. I know this is an easy way to score brownie points, but seriously the fact that she could dance around and enjoy her time while listening to the chili peppers made the concert that much more fun. I don't think any of my friends could have topped her and her energy. I would definitely go to another concert with her.
I'll cut it here right now, but just to let you, the readers know my next blog is going to be my thoughts on the new StoneSour's album. So far so good I must say. I really like to analyze lyrics and try to find out what they mean. The lyrics with meaning by the way. Imagine me trying to analyze the lyrics of Flo Rida's "whistle" haha. "As you can see he is asking the lady to su...errrrr" gonna stop right there.
(If there are any writing errors I'm sorry, I'm really tired and just didn't want to check.)

When in Rome, I've never been to Rome by the way.
I have decided to start blogging, because someone very important to me has convinced me to do this and I really her trip abroad to be full of something to do. As the title suggests I've never been to Rome and I also don't really blog. Something new to try and get use to. Okay, I lied, I have blogged before, but that was years ago. Does anyone remember xenga or xynga or zynga? however you spell it. It was that website just dedicated to blogs. Well, I had an account O.O What a way to introduce myself, to whoever is reading this, as a liar. I swear, I'm not a deceitful person! I prefer the honest rout above all else.
Haha, anyways I guess I'll start talking a little bit about myself and what I'm going to do with these blogs. I am a male mammal, I walk upright, and have thumbs. Not good enough? Oh alright, I enjoy music that show musicians talents. Genre wise I like metal, rock, alternative, metalcore, a little bit of hip hop and I mean a little, and some good ol' piano. I play guitar, bass, and a little piano. I enjoy reading books and watching some movies. I play video games from time to time when I have time. I am a college student making good grades so I may enter med-school.
These blogs are going to just involve what's going on in my mind and some of my interests. I may put photos up of the things I'm talking about. Also, for the sake of privacy I will not use anyones names, not even my own. I will instead change their names to character names from movies, books, or games.
This is just an introduction blog as you can tell, but don't worry! My next blog will be a lot more interesting. Well, as interesting as I can make it. Oh well, Ma salama till next time.
